About Me
Yampier Sardina Esperón was born in Havana, Cuba, in 1979. He studied at the Fine Arts Elementary School “José Antonio Días Peláez” (1995-1997) and the National Academy of Fine Arts “San Alejandro” (1997-2000), both in their hometown. He was subsequently accepted by the prestigious Hudson River School for Landscape in New York. He was a pupil of the renowned Cuban master Arturo Montoto, who performed several mural projects, among which stands between Heaven and Earth (2008), which symbolizes a call to protect the environment and is on permanent display at the headquarters Heritage civil Society, Community and Environment, in Old Havana.From his early training participated in numerous group exhibitions in Cuba and in 2007 formed Exis Project, with four artists who followed the same vision. With them present numerous exhibits of figurative paintings, among which stand out Good Appetite (2007), Dialogues (2008), Convergence (2008), Interior Landscape (2008), and the Merit and Illusion (2008), in different parts of Havana. Presented individually projects on several occasions inside and outside the island. From 2008 to 2010, he was working for a personal exhibition in Mexico D.F, which opened at The Aldama Fine Art Gallery. In 2010 he established his studio in the United States, where he has participated in various events and collective exhibitions. He currently lives with his family in the state of Florida.
